HFNZ Annual Conference in Northland postponed

The Holstein Friesian NZ Annual Conference in Whangarei on 22-25 June 2020 has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

It will now take place in 2021 and will still be hosted by the Northland Branch.

The situation means Holstein Friesian NZ’s annual conference rotation will be deferred by 12 months.

Manawatu will now host the event in 2022.

We’d like to thank the Northland Branch for the effort which members put into organising the event, and for businesses which offered sponsorship.

Those businesses include Gallagher, Allflex, LIC, Animal Breeding Services (ABS), Bryant Tractors Whangarei, CRV Ambreed, Ravensdown, ST Genetics, AgFirst, World Wide Sires, Kaiwaka Clothing, Semex, Vetpak, AFFCO, Mark Cromie Motor Group, Fonterra and Farm Source, Nutrilink Fert, Rabobank, Cervus Equipment NZ Northland, Bell Booth, FIL, Hansen Products, NRM, Nutrinza and Pioneer.

No Holstein Friesian NZ AGM will be held in 2020, due to the cancellation of the conference.

Notices of Motion will not be called for this year.

However, members are encouraged to submit remits for the Board to consider.

Remits provide an opportunity to raise matters outside of the association’s rules, which members would like considered.

All remits must be submitted to Cherilyn Watson c.watson@nzhfa.org.nz by 30th April 2020.

Annual Awards will still be calculated and presented, with the exception of special awards – such as the Distinguished Service Award.

The awards will be announced on Facebook and in the NZ Holstein magazine.

We’ll be in touch to let you know when dates have been set.
