Holstein Friesian NZ General Manager Cherilyn Watson has been appointed to the New Zealand Animal Evaluation Limited (NZAEL) Board as an Associate Director.
NZAEL is a wholly owned subsidiary of DairyNZ that aims to develop, promote and deliver technologies that optimise genetic improvement in the national dairy herd.
It ensures that relevant on-farm data is captured, and is high-quality; that the data is analysed accurately using world leading analytical methods; and that outputs are applied in an appropriate manner.
“I am honoured to be joining the NZAEL Board and look forward to contributing to future state-of the-art genetic evaluations for the New Zealand dairy industry,” Cherilyn says.
