If a female calf is selected as part of the Holstein Friesian Genetic Leaders Superior Female team, the Breeder is required to contract mate the female in accordance with the terms and conditions of the then current CRV/Holstein Friesian New Zealand Contract Mating Agreement (available from Holstein Friesian New Zealand on request).

All animals accepted for the Holstein Friesian Genetic Leaders Superior Female programme are considered to be under contract to the scheme. If a nominated heifer is not accepted for the programme, the animal’s owner will be notified in writing by Holstein Friesian New Zealand. That heifer will then be eligible to contract mated by other breeding companies.
