Holstein Friesian NZ membership June 2020

Holstein Friesian NZ is hiring a Communications and Marketing Specialist

We’re hiring! Holstein Friesian NZ (HFNZ) is on the hunt for a new chief storyteller and social media specialist.

HFNZ is New Zealand’s largest dairy cattle breed society servicing members throughout the country.

With offices in Hamilton, we are looking to employ a Communications and Marketing Specialist to promote the Holstein Friesian breed to our membership and the wider NZ dairy industry.

The primary responsibility for this position will be writing and producing our magazine three times per year along with a range of other publications.

Equally as important will be the content management and digital marketing of our website, Facebook and Instagram pages. Liaison with external media and providing press releases on topical issues will round out this role.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and friendly with a sound knowledge of both the NZ dairy industry and publication/digital media.

Excellent writing and editorial skills are paramount, along with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programmes.

Experience in the management of websites and social media content would be an advantage, and you will have excellent time management skills with an ability to be organised and work to deadlines.

You must have a relevant tertiary qualification, a full driver’s licence and the right to work in New Zealand is also required.

While ideally this position will be full time, working in a small team environment allows the hours to be flexible.

This position may suit a person looking to work school hours or returning to the workforce, or a graduate looking to get into a generalist role to gain valuable experience.

Remuneration will be based on the experience of the successful applicant.

If you are passionate about the dairy industry, have a nose for a good story, creative flair with an eye for detail and plenty of initiative, then we are interested in hearing from you.

Applications close:  5 pm, Tuesday, 1st September 2020.
