The Waiview Stud in Tua Marina is one of the few herds amongst the grapevines in Marlborough. Gregory Woolley is the third generation of the Woolley family to hold the stud since it began in 1955 under his father Graeme and his grandfather Richard. The farm was purchased in 1961 and in 1963 it was the first herd in Marlborough to do over 500lbs of fat per cow. The herd has been fully pedigree for 52 years.
Waiview focuses on balanced breeding with good type and high production. The herd is 100 per cent classified with 10 per cent of them Excellent and above. The herd has won several Production Performance Awards for the Top of the South. The farm is a medium input, seasonal supply and last season averaged 575kgms per cow.
