The stud which bred the popular Holstein Friesian bull Telesis Euon Firenze (CRV) has 61 surplus mixed-aged cows for sale.
It is one of the top BW Holstein Friesian herds in New Zealand. Average production over the last decade has been 650 kgMS/cow.
The cows are all fully registered Holstein Friesians. They are due to calve from 30th July 2020 – 3rd October 2020. Most are calving in August.
The majority of the cows are in-calf to A2A2 Holstein Friesian bulls from LIC’s team, including Maire IG Gauntlet-ET.
The herd was tailed with high BW homebred fully registered Holstein Friesian bulls which were the result of contract matings.
The Telesis Trust milks 310 cows on the Taieri Plain near Dunedin. They’re all DNA profiled, plus they’ve received lepto 7-1, salmonella and lifetime BVD vaccinations. The herd had a low SCC and all cows will receive DCT and teat seal at dry off.
These cows, plus 12 in-calf Crossbred heifers, are a genuine surplus due to a low empty rate.
